Author Biography
Steve Schmitt, 7th Darga, is one of the world's most recognized Krav Maga experts. He practiced numerous combat sports (boxing, judo, kung fu, ninjitsu, wrestling, karate, etc.) until he discovered Krav Maga in 1995 with Richard Douieb, the pioneer of Krav Maga in Europe. After 24 years of practice, he took over from Richard Douieb in 2019 as head of the European Krav Maga Federation (FEKM-RD), the largest Krav Maga federation in the world, of which he also became the highest-ranking member. For nearly 30 years, Steve has trained thousands of people around the world, including civilians, military personnel, and police officers.
